# Donate your node

You can lend Vantage a spare machine or phone on a home or mobile connection. It becomes an exit node, and the data it relays is credited to you.

## Steps

1. Enter your email so the data your devices relay is credited to you. The same email links all of your devices.
2. Choose your platform.
3. Select **Generate install link**.
4. On Linux, macOS or Windows, run the one-line installer as an administrator. On Android or iPhone, open the Vantage Donor app and scan the QR code.

## Manual / advanced

This tab shows the raw enrollment details: the device ID, management URL, setup key and node token. Use it only if you provision devices yourself. Keep the setup key and token private.

## Safety

Donated devices can reach only the broker and the control plane. They never talk to other users directly. You can pause or remove your node at any time.
